Case study: The spoiled lunchroom
Problem: A refrigeration unit in a school broke down during summer vacation, and the problem was not identified until staff returned from break months later. This issue resulted in over $1K of spoiled food inventory, labor costs to clean/repair the refrigeration unit, as well as deodorization services for the school.
Solution: An automated monitoring solution from My Devices was deployed throughout the school district. Sensors installed directly into the refrigeration units transmit data in real time to an application, allowing staff to monitor the temperatures from any location. Notifications can be set to alert stakeholders if temperatures fall out of range to avoid this situation in the future.
